What state was this detector found in. I did have one like it until my X-son n law got his hands on it. I don't know what happened after that.

good ole illinois

It is a old 840 bounty hunter I had one about 20 yrs ago not a bad detector found a lot of silver with it. You sould be able to get it fix. Good luck...Matt

The faceplate looks exactly like my BH Red Baron 5 (bought it new back in 1979 and still have it ;D). You could probably fix that gb knob issue, unless the problem is in the circuitry. They are very simple on the inside. I've "repaired" mine many times.

Cool find,

If you can't fix at least you can keep it for an antique and a conversation piece.

Keep @ it and HH!!

cool freind just seen one like that at a antique store, don't remember the price though. love your goat emblem, i am proud owner of a 69 goat. caught my i right away........wrench!

neat find...i still use this one.
i still wonder why people need 'relic machines' this thing will find the stain left by a nail in dry ground. :icon_scratch:
