Detecting with Bubba - Merc & Colonial button

Detected a bit today with my bud Bubba. He had lined up these two houses for us to detect. I know why he lined up the first house now, because the lady that lived there was very easy on the eyes. ::) :P :icon_thumleft: We didn't find much there but that was o.k. ;D After I pried Bubba's jaw off the ground, and put his eyes back in his head, we headed to the second house.
By now it was about 2pm, so we hit it for about an hour.
My finds for the day were:

*1934 Merc
*1918 & 1958 Wheats
*"Frazier Road Cart" tag with dates from the 1880's.
*Colonial button (?) - 31mm
*TootsieToy Rabbit
*Asst'd

Thanks for looking & "thanks Bubba"
MM

Re: Detecting with Bubba - Merc & Colonial button

the ??? thing looks like part of a strap junction from horses tack

or is it the end of a spur where the strap went? (I think I see it bending to fit the heal)

Re: Detecting with Bubba - Merc & Colonial button

Thanks for the story Doug. It's hard to focus on your signals in the presence of the fairer sex. No wonder you didn't find anything there. The place is probably loaded. :laughing9:

I waited for all those pics to load up on dial-up just to be disappointed that no homeowner pics were posted. Nice finds!! Is the toy car a VW Rabbit? Chevette? HH.

VOL,
Sorry, but I couldn't hold Bubba's leash and take pictures of the owner at the same time. Next time I'll tie him to a tree. :-)
Good eye on the car, it's a Rabbit. I was hoping for a Hugo. ;D

Cool stuff Doug! Love the cart tag! Someone else found one of those on here a while back. Great pictures as well!

Thanks Rob.
That is my 2nd cart tag. I found one about two years ago from a Raleigh, NC. buggy company.
