Howdy ya'll dug a few quick holes at a spot today where I noticed some brick shards and oyster shells in the dirt. This drew my attention to a small chimney pile (hard to see in the site pic) so grabbed the machine out of the trunk and had some fun picking squeaks in the ironpile. Third 'good' sounding target in and this beautiful brass pommel plate (sorry no idea what this is called) from a flintlock pistol popped out, sounded like canslaw did not expect that! Also got a couple of wheaties, a smashed copper coin, model T stuff, a cool suspender clip and some sweet incidental bottles. I really like the green cathedral olive jar was another pleasant surprise. I sincerely wish 2023 is good for all, happy hunting!

Congratulations on a good hunt. The flintlock pistol butt plate is great, but that green food jar is fantastic. It‘s a real beauty.

Stay safe, good luck and keep swingin.

Thank you TNT. I really like old glass too the green color is unusual for the little sauce/food jars I'm definitely a better dump digger than detectorist but tis all for fun. Happy hunting!
