This morning the park authority opened the swim areas to metal detecting for the first time since Memorial Day at the parks of Kensington, Metro Beach and Stoney Creek. Hunters are not allowed to detect while swimmers are in the water. I didn't show up till 10:30 AM after most hunters left since I had a job of finding some girls ring in knee deep water at a local park. I found the lil ring too and turned it over to them at no charge of course. I hadn't been to Stoney Creek since July when we were hired to locate a lost set of keys in the swimming beach. We were able to find the keys after hunting for just over an hour since if we found the keys right away, we'd have to leave the swim area. I can't post pics in case someone comes forward saying that they saw their ring. But this morning after arriving there late, all I found was 2 nickels, 2 quarters and two small gold crosses and no chain to go with them. Oh yeah also two earring studs that were junk and one earring back, 14 Kt. with the Excal. I don't know what the other hunters found since I only talked to two of them.
Hope all of you get a chance to find something nice.
