A good friend of mine was on vacation over the 4th and lost his wedding band there in Destin. It is only a 10K band, but with much sentimental value and needless to say, his wife is wearing him out over it!
I told him I'd put the word out among the area surf looters, if he gave directions. Here they are:
"You cross 98 where Avalon Blvd intersects, go to the Avalon beach access, and walk straight forward to the Gulf of Mexico. I lost the ring in about 2 feet of water near the shoreline. I'm counting on you!"
Also he sent them as mapquest coordinates, too:

I have little more than that to go on and I know that is precious little. But a midsized 10K band is a trifling thing and if one were to turn up magicallly, what a happy bloke he'd be
