My father’s family owned the Barq’s Root Beer Company in New Orleans. He branched out and made his own root beer called PUSH Root Beer. I’ve been trying to find this can for a very long time. It would mean the world to me to find it. Thank you for any suggestions you may have. DEBF3833-2E55-4427-AB70-16DF8C30B03E.jpeg

Aside from waiting for another to show up on eBay, you might be able to track down the sellers of the 2 cans listed on Worthpoint and pester them for the contact info of the buyers.

Not really related, but I found a minty steel 1950s "Can-a-Pop Root Beer" can here in Laramie, made in Peoria, IL of all places (the city I dug and collected before moving). Maybe you'll stumble across one if you scour the shops in your area, or at least get your contact info in the hands of folk who might come across one.

Sorry, I have only seen this one today

Barq's was my favorite as a kid....I loved the way it burned my throat...lol The only better root beer I ever had was on my 12th B-day when my dad made homemade root beer in a 5 gallon bucket with dry ice...it was so cool. P.S. I also got my first detector on that B-day, a used Whites:

Yeah my dad used to make me that real root beer with that sassafras with vanilla ice cream. Good times

Kind of a weird name “Push” . Does it mean anything?

If he can remember which markets ordered a lot, I would check creeks around those areas

And it by find one but it's a little rusty, use oxalic acid soak, it pulls the rust right off

Pretty clever marketing if the advertising poster was put on the entry door to the store. They could have hedged their bet with PULL Cream Soda for the exit door.

Kace my moneys good. Thank you so much I would make me so so happy to have back in my hand.

No Problem Truth and I'm not worried at all about the money!

I understand wanting to get something back that's sentimental. I've had two things that I've felt that way about. I finally found one of them and got it back and I'm still on the hunt for the other. Oddly, I thought that what I Haven't found yet would be the easiest to find...I was wrong. It was the one that was like looking for a needle in a haystack that was found.

So I have faith that your Push Root Beer Can will be found!

Kace
