Designer earring, & a few other trinkets...

Went to the old cache site yesterday and found a few interesting little trinkets.
The first piece seems to be made of some type of black plastic that has been covered with, I believe, a brass sheeting. Don't have a clue what it was used for. It looks like it may have been a pin, or some type of knob, but the backing is gone. Any suggestions? The little heart pendant is just chrome plated, with a plastic stone, but it's a good piece for the cheapy collection.. The last item is a gold plated earing marked, "Chr.Dior with a copyright symbol".
I was going to insert a quote from a certain Web page and provide a link to their site, but they have a, "DO NOT COPY" thingy at the top of their page, so I just used their info, and put it into my own words...Their loss... Below is what I found out about the markings:
Dior died in 1957 but, licensed his U.S. production to Kramer NY in 1950. The mark, "Chr.Dior with a copyright symbol", was used from 1952-present.
When I found the earring, I thought for sure I had found me gold.
It was at a depth of about 7" down, and came out of the ground shinning. It give me one of those 30 second rushes, until I saw the little bubbles, from the plating coming off, trying to poke up through the surface...
Also found my 8th Wheatie for the year. Not sure of the date, I accidentally threw it in with my clad and have to dig it back out.
Ooops, almost forgot about the log chain. I was heading back to the car, and the Cz started bell-toning. The signal was covering an area about 10" X 10" and being at the cache site, I thought it might have been a treasure chest so, I dug it up. I figure it might come in handy some day...
