Depth Indication

I just received my Deus last week and because of my work obligations have only been able to play with it a few times.
My question is;
Is there a more accurate way to tell the depth of a target other than the Horse shoe icon??
Here is a pic of my first Relic hunt with the Deus..




I gotta say I heard stuff in the ground that I've never heard on this property before. And My friends and I ( + everyone else) have hit this place hard over the years.

Nice finds! Horseshoe and a keen ear is best options. Remember the indicator is set to coin sized objects. Targets smaller or bigger can throw that off.

I've just accepted that it takes a lot of experience to learn it. I run mine on Audio 3 and when the top of the right horseshoe just indicates, the target will be about 7 inches when I can just hear a whisper. Today, I bumped the Audio up to 5-7 and I dug some coins in the 8-9" depth. Seems like the indicator was just showing, but I was able to hear a more solid signal.
