Denton treasure in Tennessee

Anyone have information on this tale, supposedly buried in Bedford County, Tennessee, by someone named Denton either in the town of Flat Creek, or along the creek of the same name?

I'm not familiar with this story.? I'm originally from Tullahoma and my roots go back in Bedford County to 1790's.? I'd be interested in sharing research information with you on this.

I don't have anything on a Denton treasure, I do have this on Flat Creek. A cache of wealth was buried by Cherokee Indians though to be located near their camp site on Flat Creek.

Michael Paul Henson has a book out called " Guide to Treasure in Tennessee. It's around $9 bucks. You may want to check it out.
I have not read it. Don't know if the info. you seek, is in it or not.

I know of a graveyard in the woods on several hundred acres I have permission to hunt in Flat Creek. Wonder if this Denton would be in that graveyard?
