I purchased this plater in a second hand store, and need help with the history of the company and year of the back stamp. Any info will be really appreciated.

Denby england i would think, not sure beyond that

W.S. & Co. perhaps. Which could be William Smith & Co., but I can't find that specific mark as being one of theirs.

You should be able to google the stamp info on your own and do the research
the google search will show the stamp and history
then try ebay

I would guess that W.S. & C is the maker..... Stoke would refer to the Stoke on Trent Potteries.....and Denby is the pattern. All that being said, I have not looked up anything to confirm or deny.
