Three suggestions that work for me with the D. Most of the time setting the sensitivity in the 7 - 8 range is plenty. If you hit a spot where you get jumping indications that are mostly coins mixed with a few trash indications, always dig. 3 times out of 5 you'll be on a coin spill. Use it enough to get familiar with the tone. Often a tone that isn't quite right for goodies or trash will be worth digging. You won't know if you don't retrieve it.

Thanks for the tips luvsdux. Can't wait to get this little heater.

You've got Tesoro's best machine coming, in my opinion. You will love the Deleon. It seems to have a way of sniffing out the silver. I've found 14 this year, and the Deleon has been responsible for 12 of those.

That's awesome Dan, good to hear. I've only found one silver coin thus far in 2 seasons of hunting..... A 1916 barber dime from my front yard. And it was my Cibola that hit on it.

Let us know how that new DeLeon goes! That is the next detector I want to get.

Will do rainy day. I should have her today! Woot!!

Outstanding machine! Superfast as with all tesoros! Have fun, jhar

Thanks guys!
Fired it up and ran it around my backyard for a bit, found some clad coins that all my other machines missed. So far I just love it!! Can't wait to get it out to some parks around here! This machine is definitely a keeper.

Well, all I can say is WOW!
The Deleon just flat out performs.... And does it well. I'm hitting dimes and Wheaties at 8"+!

A question about threshold on the D.
I'm finding that running the threshold high, (about the 3oclock position) while in disc mode, the D seems to be a bit hotter and more responsive. Am I doing the right thing?

I run around 2'oclock, but I'll try a 3 next time and see how it goes. The Deleon is a great machine, every bit as deep as a Vaquero.

Thanks Dan. Lemme know what you think..

The DeLeon is a great machine, You really want to have some fun get the small 4" coil and go around some high trash area`s and along fence lines. The little coil seems to make the GB a little hotter and you do not lose very much depth, I hunt in all metals with it and use the display for a dig/no dig.
Surprising how close together objects will upset the signal, the small coil solves that problem.

Great advise foilfinder. Thanks!
