Delaware Shipwrecks

Coin beach used to give a hundred coins a year, more after storms. Sadly it is well hunted and now only the occasional good find is made. THers back in the 60s to 80s had it made. It may still give up a treasure, we can only hope. I think DE policy is great, they don,t want it all to sit and rot as some narrow minded greedy states do. My clubs policy is to help archaeologist whenever possible. We want to keep what is found but do not sell items and offer them to museums for display. Like most THers most of if not all of my historical finds will go to museums sooner or later, and I wouldn't,t have it anyother way.

I was down there a few weeks ago to hit the beach there by the inlet on the north side. They blocked of the beach entrance because of construction and now the only access on the north side is at one of the surf fishing areas between the inlet and the old life guard station.
