Nice finds! The first blade is an excellent example of a "classic" side knife blade. Is that game piece made of shell? If it is then do you think it's marine shell? I'd think marine shell because it looks too big to be from local mussel shell... It sure would be nice to see what it looked like whole. Interesting design on it too.

Thanks flintdigger, I seldom find complete blades like these. Finding almost complete’s is fairly common but what was really unbelievable, was they were just a couple of paces apart. If the game piece would have been lying good side down, it would have just been a broken stone. The worked surface just on this little piece so cool and it must have been a very special piece.

Thank for the info coteau, the piece is stone but someone will have to tell me what kind. It’s very light (almost white) and translucent. I’ve posted some more detailed photos if you’re interested. It does peek the imagination though doesn’t it.

Quartzite varies in texture, but it's usually grainy enough to notice.

Going by how finely grained that blade is, I'd guess it's of a banded agate.

PS : Super stuff, Larson. & Everybody :hello2:

I really like that top knife, :icon_thumright :hello2: :notworthy: :headbang: It look's like it is made out of TRSS that is a nice piece. The game piece is very interesting, I hadn't really noticed the small design on it until I looked at it again just now.

thanks uniface, the blades are "chert". The stone material that the broken game piece is made from is what I'm not sure of. Someone more knowledgable then me did not think it was quartzite but didn't know what it is. It is a very fine grained and also transluscent material.
