Same Southern Arizona land with relics from 1890-1920. Dad says this is possibly high carbon steel, a small hold in the center that does not go all the way through, and the inside of the rings are smooth.

I also found this suspender clip and wanted to share it.

I'm not sure what your "not glasses" are, but I don't think it is high carbon steel because of it being bent. High carbon steel is hard and brittle unless it has been annealed. Also the color where it has been scraped looks yellowish like brass maybe. Is it magnetic?

Just curious if you happen to be in Santa Cruz County? Nice suspender clip by the way.
