Decorative copper piece with a bird’s head.(eagle,pheasant,phoenix?)
Was found in front of a 1880’s farmhouse.
First thought is it came off a kerosene lamp, unable to figure it out.

Are the 2 attachments solid, or is there a hole for a screw?
The piece looks like it was on the side of a bowl or center piece.(there would been one on the opposite side)
Handles of sorts.
It's just lost the silver wash it once had.

When you say silver wash, I assume it may have had silver plating?
Thanks for the input.
