hey guys so i currently have a bounty hunter tracker IV which is a nice machine and i have used it on the beach a few times but i would really like to get into beach detecting more than inland detecting. way to many people in parks over here in the uk

anyway i am just curious what are some detectors which are good for beach hunting, wet, dry sand ?. i have heard that the garrett 250 hate wet sand so looking for something which is better i have a budget of about £300 - £400

First off welcome to the board deepcoil :hello2:
On your budget maybe possible if you get lucky and get a used salt water machine ,not impossible but difficult and some risk ?
You might want to rethink that budget thing. Gonna cost more than that. Like sandman says, "Time is the one thing you cannot get back why waste time" swinging a "decent" detector when what you need is a good one ?

Beach hunting requires Multi-frequency machines for wet sand and or waterproofing for the salt water hazards. Try looking at the post in the beach hunting section and see what folks are finding and their machines listed and what their gripes are. All detectors involve some form of trade offs, IE none are perfect so keep that in mind , hope you find what you are looking for deepcoil !! :coffee2:

Fully waterproof... Used Excaliburs.
Waterproof Coil Only... Used Sovereign (any model)
note... White Sov coils are NOT waterproof, stock black coils are waterproof, most aftermarket coils are as well.
