WHAT KIND OF TREASURE ARE WE HUNTING TODAY ?
Detector(s) used
MINELAB E TRAC, EXCAL2,QUATTRO,WHITE 6000 DI PRO SL,EAGLE SPECTRUM,SILVER UMAX ,BANDIDO UMAX VARIOUS VINTAGE
went to investigate treasure hunting at the reg stores ?

yes folks strange as it may seem theres some smaller

gains out there due to the tremendous rise in metals

many chain stores have a catalog of listing which were

printed last fall before silver doubled.

and they are still selling at that level.

HECK SOME ARE EVEN ON SALE DUE TO HOLIDAY

private jewelry stores watch this like a hawk

and raise prices accordingly.

i guess the chain stores have old inventory

that they are happy to take a paper profit on

from what they paid before.

i was able to get new silver jewlry for 18 to 25 an oz.

look for heavier pieces and chains that are fairly plain

in design. they sometimes dont have a lot of

design valu above melt.

was able to do a little gold too but u have to be ultra

careful.

as gold up mebbe 40 per cent vs over 100 on silver.

ALL THIS IS GONNA END BY YEAREND.

CLERKS I TALKED TO SAID BIG PRICE INCR

AFTER HOLIDAYS

BE SURE TO POST BACK HERE AND LET ME KNOW

WHAT U FOUND

unbelivabe...the day I see Dillards sell sterling chains at below spot, instead of 400% Spot.... Shopping frenzy :headbang:

Great minds think alike. :icon_thumright: only mine is a bit slow.

I was in wallyworld two days ago and walked past the jewelry dept and that same idea :sign13: hit me, but i didn't have my loop with me. I couldn't read the markings on the tab.

A lot is 10K & 925 mix. or plated 925. I may go back with my loop and look at the heavy 925. It looked pretty hard to calculate what the gold would be worth. Maybe I will even bring my gram scale and calculator.

wow coming from you cd , that is high praise.

as u are king on garage sale finds.

i wouldnt have tried this had the store not had

their own gram scale present.

i was bored in the store and had time to waste.

first i checked for hot wheels treasure hunts.

and then this idea occurred to me.

i went to the pharmacy section to get 2 reading glasses

to use as magnifiers. the attendent loaned me her

personal calculator from her purse
