I am too tired to post my finds tonight, so I will try to post pictures tomorrow.

A couple of my hunting buddies and I met in Daytona very early this morning, there were at least 7 of us hunting in the water, I know of a total of 15 rings that I am aware of that were found today in the area we hunted, and I am sure there were more found by hunters that I wasn't aware of.

I want spoil their posts by naming any names, I will just say it was a B-L-A-S-T.

I know one class ring found was 1931, another was 1946 and there was an old Navy ring found, has to be pre WWII.

I left home at 5:15 am to meet up for the 7:45 am low tide, hunted the 8pm low tide also. It is now 1:37 am so pictures to follow when I'm not dead tired.

I found a 10k gold Initial ring.

A nice waterproof divers watch still running perfectly.

My first Buffalo Nickel (no date visable).

Several silver Rosey dimes. (dates to follow)

Some wheat pennies. (dates to follow)

What appears to be a silver toe ring, although there is no stamp.

And 2 really nice pairs of sunglasses.

sounds like you had a great day, getting the old stuff, love getting the old rings from the 30's and 40's. cant wait to see your photos, was it the sov gt you where using or did you have your excalibur out .

You stuck it out and got the gold. Hooyah!
Now I wished I had stayed.
No gold for me. Boo Hoo.
But today I got a consolation prize, a 1937 Walking Liberty half dollar.

Way to go DR, that is a nice find.

Was certainly tired when I got home last night. Total of 10 hours in the water hunting. I thought about returning this morning and meeting you there, but was I just too tired, to go back on only 3 hours sleep.

RJ, I used the excal for half my hunting and the Sov with the WOT for half. Once the low tide had passed the surf started clearing the off shore sandbar and it got rough in the water. I took the Excal to the Van and got the Sov out.

On Sat with in 5 mins of hitting the beach after retiring the excal I hit a signal no more then 10 feet in front of a cute nlonde lifeguard, she watched me dig and about a foot down, my last scoop came up with the bangle braclet sticking half in and half out of the top. Her comment to me was "you guys really do find stuff with those!"

On Sat nights low tide, I again took the Excal to the Van once the surf got real rough and in less then 5 mins of hitting the beach I found the Watch. It wasn't that deep, somone had been covered up in sand and when I searched the imprint left, the watch was 2 inches under the sand where the imprint of the right arm was, it was where his wrist would be and evidently it fell off with out he realing it.

I have to say so far I am VERY happy with the Sov and WOT combo. I love the sounds of the tones the Sov makes. It was an excellent choice, and I thank all those members on here who recommended it when I asked about it.

I would recommend it to anyone who wants to hunt the beaches, but not in deep water. There is no doubt that with the WOT I am digging deeper finds and fully expect to display some good finds int he future. ;D

I would estimate the hole is about 50 to 60 yards long and maybe 20 to 30 yards wide varying on the point you enter the water.

It is anywhere between 3 foot to 5 foot+ deep and protected by an offshore sand bar that if the wind and the negative tide cooperates makes for good hunting during the low tides. It has moved some and gotten smaller over the last couple weeks. I also found another hole on a different part of the beach, but didn't spend much time there as the other hole was producing so well. Might have to hit it next week. The other hole is bound to fill in sometime.

You just have to love beach hunting, good targets, you can cool off by dunking under when you want, and LOTS OF EYE CANDY!

Here are my meger finds for the weekend with the dates.

1962 and 1964 Rosey Dimes
1937, 46, 55, 56, and one I can't read Wheatie pennies.
Old Lead toy carriage.
Large spoon, have to clean to tell if its just silver plated (most likely)
Still can't read date of the Buffalo but it's my first.
