Anyone having any luck up in Daytona beach after bike week? I would think there would be lots of cool flying mostly costume jewelry and chains

Not a good time to go there , a lot of shark are in the area ( passing through )

I would think other areas too any place the bikers camped or met

Bike week doesn't put as many people on the beach as you might think, especially when the air is chilly and the sea is rough, which they both have been so far.

Yeah but there is tell of a legend that there was a shipwreck off the coast there and as a guy was coming ashore his bag of gold coins was lost. Last I heard was several years back a guy found one. Would love to find one of those.

was there for bikeweek last year, no one was on the beach!!!

I'm thinking all the bounty would be on land, I drove thrown 95 and saw a lot of camp sites and party's going on. maybe parks, campgrounds and business where they would hang out

You can bet there would be a ton of bottlecaps and pulltabs at those camp sites! You would have your work cut out for you.

Hears some thing for you to think about. Lydia is swimming down by Daytona Beach , Lydia is an 1800 lb. Great White Shark that was tagged in Jacksonville last week. She about 20 feet long so you should not have any problem in seeing her. So have fun ,oh you won't see me in the water there , I don't like big SHARKS.

No what is better than that is I am a pilot and I was a flight instructor in Daytona Beach. We would fly over the coast and see things in the water that were bigger than the cars on the road. That is not just in Daytona but most everywhere. Can't be scared in this line of business

Im not scared...Im just afraid something is going to sting me or pinch me or eat me...wait, I am scared, but not to scared to go in the water after my precious gold...myy preeecccioousss.

I have hunted Daytona many times durring bike week, never much to show for it.... Most time bikers do not spend any time on the beach other than ride their bikes down the beach, you would have better luck detecting in the bars......

On top of this it has been chilly this week, very few swimmers or beach traffic to really speak of...... BUT Spring Break is coming, that is always a better time and the official start of our season....
