Hello again everyone,
Yesterday I hit a site that has been hit hard but still gives up goodies here and there and managed to pull a nice 1864(can't tell if there's an L) IHP, a woman's head pin/pendant(?),a dandy button and my first civil war button! It's an eagle button with an A so I'm assuming it's an Artillery button. Today OSE and I decided to hit up the Barber Half site again to see what we missed and I managed to score 10 keeper coins, a beat up stoneless ring, and a gilded button. First I pulled two IHP's right off the bat(1902,1890) right next to each other and headed up a little hill side when I hit a pocket spill with a fattie 1860 IHP, a toasted V nickel and an 1875 Seated Dime! I focused on the surrounding general area and also managed a 1903 Barber Dime,Two Mercs (1917,1925...E in ONE is either bad strike or altered). Then the coppers came...I managed an 1847 LC and the nicest condition Draped Bust LC I've pulled so far, it's an 1802 with a small die break in the top left of the reverse. I've been unable to identify the variety of the DBLC and I'm wondering what the rarity if any is to this coin so any help is appreciated. Also hit an area near the Barber site briefly and almost walked right into a water snake(not moccasin) sunning itself which are not poisonous but strike nonetheless if provoked so I figured it was a good Nat. Geo. moment and snapped a pic. I scanned some finds and had to use my cell for some that don't show up well on the scanner so here ya go and as always thanks for looking and HH! :sunny:

Nice finds! That can be argued! I am still laughing about the snake! :laughing9:
I ran into one last week and just let it slither by. It's amazing what you see when you
are looking down.

Thanks very much guys! HH

Superb finds, I think the 1864 is a regular one, no L, it appears to be a rounded bust not pointy

I like the little head thing, very interesting.
Looks like high relief, like a cameo would be.

Thanks, it's got a broken pin on the back and came out of a place that dates back to the 1600's. I pulled a a C mint mark Liard there (1655-57)

Wow, now that's some site you're hunting there. Awesome finds, I'd be stoked to find any one of those in a single hunt....much less all those goodies in one fell swoop! HH.

nice coins and snake ...congrats!!!
