After Jim and I first hit this spot we had a good feeling that the fields still held many secrets. A very early start with a very chilly night left the main place we wanted to hunt frozen so we opted for the field we hit hard the week before. Right in the middle of all the previous dug holes, signals. The rain had brought this field to a new level, there were signals everywhere. This went on till lunch and we moved to the other field after the sun baked most of the frozen ground away. More groups of signals just about everywhere. The amount of lead on this site was something I have not experienced before. I had to of dug a solid pound of mini balls and melts. When Goldirocks dug her first Barber half dime I thought she broke her arm. I'm still laughing about her fortune. We did have one heck of a day with a total of seven silver coins, and ninety buttons in all. I had dug three Capped Busts, A 1819 quarter,1834 dime, and a 1837 half dime. A holed token with a eagle on on side and a wreath on the other, a 1845 large cent, and a Georgie that is toast, and a unrecognizable bust on another copper. Watch winder three thimbles and a meager twenty buttons and friends. Great day, look out next Sunday...
