After Jim and I first hit this spot we had a good feeling that the fields still held many secrets. A very early start with a very chilly night left the main place we wanted to hunt frozen so we opted for the field we hit hard the week before. Right in the middle of all the previous dug holes, signals. The rain had brought this field to a new level, there were signals everywhere. This went on till lunch and we moved to the other field after the sun baked most of the frozen ground away. More groups of signals just about everywhere. The amount of lead on this site was something I have not experienced before. I had to of dug a solid pound of mini balls and melts. When Goldirocks dug her first Barber half dime I thought she broke her arm. I'm still laughing about her fortune. We did have one heck of a day with a total of seven silver coins, and ninety buttons in all. I had dug three Capped Busts, A 1819 quarter,1834 dime, and a 1837 half dime. A holed token with a eagle on on side and a wreath on the other, a 1845 large cent, and a Georgie that is toast, and a unrecognizable bust on another copper. Watch winder three thimbles and a meager twenty buttons and friends. Great day, look out next Sunday...

Incredible site you guys have there. You just don't see 3 capped bust silvers dug in one day unless it's a coin spill. A lot of activity for so much to be lost, more than just a house site. Do you have any idea what was there?

Simply unbelievable. This site will be giving up goodies for quite sometime. Don't you just love hunting in saturated ground? It produces so many more signals

Not sure Steve, but it was very active. The silvers were for the most part widely spaced. If you look at the variety of buttons there had to be lots of people on the site. Art

Thanks Jim, I will see you Sunday with my muddy wings on.

Those busted coins are killer! On my dream list for this year.

Whites must have a "Capped Bust only" selector switch! Impressive:notworthy:

You guys really did well! I bet there are going to be several return visits.

What an amazing day! Congrats

That's a heck of a site you guys got there. Hopefully there's more to come

Good to see all your finds at one time. Awesome array of Goodies for sure! Wow that sure was one heck of a hunt! That almost broke my record of 12 hours hunting at on time.I will tell you that I am very sore but will be good for the next hunt on Sunday. I can't wait! Just hope that the ground won't be frozen to badly. Guess I have to learn to use the pick Axe that is in the garage. Gotta get while the getting is good! So my friend I will see you soon to continue this awesome journey!
