Did a further 5 hours (10 man hours) on the field;

3 scrappy romans
17th century jetton
1/2 a french coin 1855
Nice livery button

Mystery Roman bronze object with some silver coating left on the top?? Possible military item?
Possible Roman ear scoop?
Broken medieval seal matrix

Last find of the day to me was a 1891 sixpence.

Thanks for the replys.

Those that know me will realise these are slim pickings. However it is enough to finish the field which will take several months until better fields are ready. Plus the indication is that with the hard work will come a reward. Might be weeks yet but makes you appreciate it more. Once we have covered the land it will be ticked off the list & is unlikely to be done again (unless desperate).
