Well day 9 only produced one coin. My oldest coin found on site. A 1920 Buffalo nickle. Day 10 was rained out. I worked the inside of two of the 3 barns nothing but horse tack and bottle caps. Here is the final pic. I also found 5 1/2 Horse shoes, a deer antler drop, and a whatchamacallit. Thanks for looking.

Holy smokes! With all due respect, who cares about old coins?

You found a CSN Confederate Navy button out there! I would take that over all of the coins you found over the ten days, one hundred times over!

That is a banner find, friend. That is a very nice button, and very seldom seen. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Crazy!

It's interesting how soil can alter a coins appearance....I like the reddish brown buffalo you recovered...you have been digging up alot of finds... I see alot silver!... congratulations 👍

I had to add it to my bucket list just so I could scratch it off 🤣
If you check out my Day 8 post there is another pick.

Funny you say that I pulled four or five modern clad yesterday and they all have a dark patina. I was thinking the same thing about soil chemistry.
