I've been detecting maybe once this summer, but I took the kids to a park today that I know has plenty of clad, just for some fun coin shooting. This park happens to be where i found my first piece of silver jewelry when i started detecting. After finding a few dimes and quarters, she says "daddy i have a signal". It was a pretty weird broken up signal, but we dug it. In the plug was a silvery pendant. I just assumed it was recently-dropped junk. She plucked the pendant, and pulled up a foot long chain with it. Sure enough, the pendant and chain are marked .925.
Best metal detecting find ever. She's super siked about it, and has been wearing the chain all evening.
