Dating this clipped Brit?

Based on what little detail is left can anyone give an approximate date for this coin? I know that it is the 1700's but that is all I know. Thanks.

It looks like a copper halfpenny of george 111.
first issue minted 1770-1775.
I'll try and post a pic later.

Thanks mate! I knew I could count on our Brit cousins to come up with a date! This would be the third coin from the 1700's that I have found and the oldest that I have found in my own yard. Time to refocus and hit the yard a little harder!
