Can anybody approximate the date or era of this key? Found it rather deep, approximately 8". Looks to be made of a copper or brass alloy. Military or Civilian? Pre or post 1900?? Thx.

Oil, It looks like a French skeleton key to me; Victorian era. Nice find Breezie

Ok, Breezie, both your answers in the threads have been "French Keys". So what does a French key looks like, or it from the accent you can tell? You did mention a French Beau. Weren't there any Union Made keys from the USA?
