DG39 has posted a useful link. The key is the date letter on the right. The TD on the left is the makers mark (normally initials of maker), Lion indicates silver, Lions head is city mark for London.

So look under London for the date letter. The style & shape of the stamp differs only slightly sometimes between dates. So be sure to check carefully.
