hi, i'm a newbie from turkey!

i found it on the shore of marmara sea, kocaeli city.
i thought and searched alot about on this one.

here are my guesses:

blood stone? don't think so. there is no red dot anywhere on the surface.
serpentine? don't think so. it has a homogenious dark green all over but just one or two yellowish-olivine patches or tints on it.
unakite? absolutely not!
green jasper? possible but don't think so.
green jade? this is my best guess. the stone is rather a heavy one and has high hardness. anyway of course i'm not sure about it:)

Welcome. First check the local geology. That will sometimes tell the tale. Bloodstone is a form of quartz and should have a hardness of 7. Jade is not as hard. It looks like a chlorite heavy quartz. The chlorite gives it the green color. It would make a nice piece of jewelry.
