Danish Art I Couldn’t Resist

I picked this piece up on the last day of an estate sale a couple blocks from my house. I paid about $15 because I liked it. I can’t make out the signature but it was labeled “Danish Art” and the canvas rear has “Made in Denmark” stamped on it. Any thoughts?

Nis Stougaard, 1906-1987, Denmark. The pieces I can find that sold at auction seem to average in the mid-$100 dollar range with a high of $346, so I’d say you did quite well!
