My first seated quarter 1876 . My oldest canadian silver and second in about a week Fish scale. 1874. Went to an old trout stream that has been arround since the beging of settlement in these parts . Many mills were on this stream in the past 200 yrs . Jumped out and gave it a try and dug an old suspender hasp, And old bottle top ( not shone). So about 20 min to half hour in got a nice 50 hit . and jumped to 25 area on the old Priz IV . Knew it was silver but was not expecting a seated quarter.
A couple hrs later I was walking the old train path back and had a screamer at 2 " brushed back the leafs ahe and there she was another fish scale ( victoria dei gratia regina ) 1874 . did not know they went that far back.
