It looks like a lioness on top of a crocodile head. It reminds me of an Egyptian burial offering. Is that 25 mm?

I don't think it has hilt like a sword, knifes don't have hilts. But I know one thing and that is that it is difficult to read what you write in all uppercase. It is also considered offensive screaming. I didn't want to come off like a dick, sorry.

This is 25 centimeter or 250 millimeters, or 10 inches

Da, thanks. I still think it is ceremonial, well that's a given it has a golden handle. But I wonder why the iron blade, I ponder why the blade isn't bronze or copper. Judging from the rusted blade it couldn't have been in the ground for long or if at all as the blade seems to have a visible edge. Did you dig it and is the handle gold?

I found it in the river, the handle is made of gold and the blade is iron, perhaps because at that time the iron was rare and people have been doing blades of meteorites

IMO it's a letter opener.

At first look, it appears to be a Lioness on top of a Buffalo - rather than a crocodile.

Being only ten inches in length and the fact that the "handle" seems to be grippable so that the blade is opposite of what you would expect ...unless it is a letter opener or something similar.
