Dad's Arrowhead Artifact Collection

Hey All,

New to the forum and don't know much about what I have in the attached picture. My dad found these throught the years in Northern Illinois. Can one of you give me a brief review on what we have here? Not sure I did the right thing, but I listed the collection for $100 on fee bay??

Why would you want to sell what your dad found. You may regret that one day.

End it ... For sure!! What is a hundred dollars these days. 20 pounds of ground beef? Really. I'll give you 110.00 and you can buy it back later for 120 when you figure out what you have done.

:)... End it bud.. A lot of hours hunting there by your father!

The bottom three rows are flaked stone artifacts. Projectile points, couple of scrapers. The photo isn't sharp enough for much detail. Looks like a couple of decent points and field grade quality otherwise. Can't spot anything rare that jumps out, but blurry. If we saw a killer fluted point in there, we would tell you! Top left might be a game ball, don't think it's utilitarian. The grey oblong object beneath the ball looks like a resharpened celt or adze. The rest I'm not familiar with, a couple look like rocks, maybe fossiliferous? Or another reason your father picked them up. I don't see extreme value there. Most of the time a collection like that will appeal most to collectors local to where the relics were found.

It may go for more than $100 on e-bay, but like a lot of the others have said once they are gone they are gone, but it belongs to you. Welcome to Tnet:hello:
