Took the new (used) cz70pro out for a test drive today ....WOW....,,I feel like I just joined the sky high club !! What a bad%# detector!! I love it. Killer on batteries thou

I have had mine for a long time. Mine isn't hard on batteries though, 20-30 hours, depending on the battery quality. Harbor Freights last 20 hours, Energizers 25, and Kodaks about 30. So far, the only thing I've seen or used that goes deeper on salt/black sand beaches (when I run it flat out in zero notch) is a PI. And in my case I own a Garrett Sea Hunter for the seriously nasty stuff. My CZ70's only downfall is that it like others of its dual or multi-freq type has trouble with tiny gold earrings if they are as small as a BB, or with fine wire gold chains. That's when I pull out my trusty old Compass GoldScanner Pro, it's dynamite on them, ANYWHERE. My CZ70 is my best detector overall to use on salt beaches though, and it goes just as deep as a CZ20 or CZ21, and deeper than a Minelab Sovereign or Explorer. Built like a tank too.

You know, it's funny, I was inexperienced with the machine and I hadn't read the manual as of the time of the post and the first time out. I had the machine in auto..totally hot, but that was three outings ago and I'm still running the same batteries !! So your right,..not too bad on batteries,I always like to hear good things about the cz70 pro, they were all made in Los banos ?? I think...anyway love the damn thing. If I were to have any thing negative to say ,.. It would be the weight, also have a fz 1 probe which doesn't help. Thanx for reading and happy, successful hunts.
