All Treasure Hunting
been away a few days on a land relic hunt down south
(I water hunt about 95% of the time)
my land machine was acting up - always wanted to try
my Fisher cz21 on a relic hunt since it gets gold so deep - and got my chance
this is my first actual CW button (have found some in New England but after war losses)
was about a foot and 1/2 down -
spot I found this was walked over by no less than 100 other hunters with top of the line land machines
- and cz21 picked it up
its an Union eagle coat button
little later I got an eagle cuff button and a minie ball about same depth
and a couple of CW horse shoes that were at about 3 feet down and a J hook
next test will hopefully be at a colonial farm field - as soon as the rest of this snow melts up here

I'm about ready to bring a cutting torch with me into the woods to melt this mess away. Can't take it anymore. On the bright side there is a little patch in my back yard that's thawed so I hit it and found a nice little indian spill. Can't wait for us all to get out again.

WTG Casper! That's the style!

I do the same thing with my beach PI (Tesoro Sand Shark) in farm fields with great success. Congrats!

always wanted to try whites pi pro for relics - but my fields are way to trashy and at least with CZ21
I can go from all metal to notch duscrim. to check targets

Very interesting Casper. I might have to give that a try with my CZ-21. Can you tell me how you set it up for relic hunting?

I'm down for some water hunting with you this year. I finally picked up a decent detector for salt water. Nice find with the Union button. Hope to see some more goodies posted soon!

hoping to to try cz21 with you soon in farm fields

Yeah, I bet it will run well in the fields, especially out in the middle where there is less trash. I almost bought a cz21 this week, but I wanted to be able to use it on land too, so I went with a CTX. Looks like I underestimated the cz21!

I also want to thank you for sharing. Appreciate the inspiration for using inland. I don't do much in the way of relic hunting but maybe I need to try my CZ21 inland again anyway for some depth. I just found it more difficult to work with inland compared to my DFX with its display feedback and my CZ21 seemed to act irratically when I last tried it either at the beach or inland. I also just prefer my Excal at the beach lately. Though it did find my only plat/18k ring to date. I am just hoping I don't have to send it down to Felix again in Texas.

I only used it (cz21) for about 1-2 hrs - the whiter minie was not found with it
horseshoes were down close to 3 feet - theyre still relics to me - probably clean up and put on wall somewhere
I know one on right is a wagon horse most likely and left one is from pack mule I been told
I have a cavalry one from another hunt - so I can probably display them together

Very nice going. If you do not mind, what settings were you using?

I hear from a lot of guys they have hard time ground balancing cz21 - I never have :dontknow:
hunted in all metal - Id get a spot with multiple signals and then notch to zero IDmode
and then go for the higher tones (lots of iron nails there)
I set ground at 5
and I was able to set sensitivity at 8+
was near power lines too
I wish the ground was softer - I would have dug the lesser tones but was like cement after the first few inches

Thank you. I'm going to try this at a place on our land. Just curious to see what setting you were using.

Nice finds !

I can,t wait to try my CZ 21 on the land..if it ever thaws !!

It works great on the salt shore....so will be interesting to see how it does here.

MY land detector is the F75.

Most of the guys that passed over this spot - were using f75s and t2s

CASPER very interesting. I have twenty hard seasons with cz20 with 8" but on land 99.99% of the time. I actually prefer it in older cleaner sites like lawns of old homes or the old abandoned park in the woods. Autotune, light, dual frequency, hot, big concentric, relic/coin/ring killer.
