Have one in route through Amazon......then today I read where China is now producing CZ-21 knockoffs and it made me a bit nervous. From what I read there's no way to tell one from the other until you start using it. Anyone know how you can be sure if you actually have the real deal? I'm thinking I'm ok since it was through Amazon...but then again.....:dontknow: :laughing7:

call Fisher with the serial Number..they should be able to erify when/where it was made and what dealer they shipped it to before you bought it

"Should" I get a lemon I know I can correct the situation through Amazon....but this knockoff stuff is getting way out of hand.

Legit CZ21's are sold through Amazon, and I have not heard any information to the effect that CZ21's are being counterfeited. So probably nothing to worry about.

If anyone gets their hands on a Fisher, Teknetics, or Bounty Hunter product in the USA which you believe to be a counterfeit, the factory wants to hear about it ASAP so we can go after the importer.

Glad to hear it. If you do a search online you'll find claims/reports of the CZ-21 counterfeits. That's where I found the information.

the cz-21 is all chinese ,the cz-20 is usa made but limited parts left:icon_scratch:.same for the cz-3d's they are slapped together ,never tune.been there done that:dontknow:sorry:unhappysmiley:

Amazon just like Ebay has some sellers you want to stay away from........ You just can not get away from those crooks...

I read awhile back about a chineese web site that was selling knock offs of everything. it was called allibaba.com or someting like that, and they were selling in bulk

Well, I didn't have to look very far to find a claim that CZ-21's are "all chinese".

CZ-21's are made in El Paso. I am not aware of any credible reports of counterfeit CZ-21's. Of course (as we already saw demo'd in this very thread) there are people who just make stuff up and post it on forums.

If anyone has credible information regarding counterfeit Fisher, Teknetics, or BH products being sold in the USA, we want to know about it ASAP so we can get it stopped. And, if anyone has credible information that any CZ model is being counterfeited (even if not available in the USA) we want to know about it so we can inform people how to tell the fakes from the real ones.

After asking the question with this post I did a lot of looking around and searching last night and I think someone out there is mistaking the Cobra to be a CZ knockoff because of the similarities in the control box. Other then that.....I couldn't find squat. Which is nice to know.

Hey JWM45

Are you saying that the CZ3D machines are not good quality machines and built in China? You said you had problems? What happened? I was considering getting one since my CZ5 is getting up there...If there are any production problems with that detector, I'd like to know before spending $800 on one!!
