I gave it a good effort, but after a few hours, all I have to show for it is this crusty storecard (and a bucket of trash). 1863 Howard Cutlery, Kalamazoo, MI. There really is a Kalamazoo!

I would call it a decent find and would be satisfied with a new piece like that. Better than finding a bunch of modern pennies.
