Art and I Hit The CW Skirmish Site This Morning For About 4 Hrs. Started To Warm Up Bringing Out The Critters & Gnats, So We Will Probably Put this One On The Back Burner Until The Cooler Weather Returns. Found 2 Eagle Union Buttons and 1 Confederate Flat Button. The Flat Button and One Of The Eagle Buttons Still Retained a Lot Of Their Gold Guild. Found Another Flat Button, But Believe it May Pre Date CW. Found a Piece Of Cav. Saddle Hardware and some Fired Minis. Not A Great Day, But It Was Nice To Get Out With My Friend. I Will Get Art To Post A Link To This Battle, If Anyone is Interested in Reading about It. trk5capt...

Nice finds and great hunt in my book! You found some relics of what the site has to offer, good deal. I hope to hunt a CW site sometime, great American history! HH, Mike

OK everyone here is the Link to "The Battle of Bloody Bridge" or "The Battle for Burdens Causeway" , John's Island, SC. When the site comes up, scroll down to Charleston Area Battles and click on "Battle and Military Operations Page". Finally, scroll down to 1864 paragraph and click on "Battle of Bloody Bridge"... Have a good day, HH Art...

I know what you mean about those gnats and critters! I may have to put some of my favorite spots on the back burner too! I can tolerate those pesky gnats for a bit .....but don't like some of those critters! :D

Nice finds Capt! Up here in RI, we have the Revolutionary War stuff, but I wish we had some of that Civil War stuff too. Beautiful diggs Capt! HH!

Nice relics as allways! Guess you have quite a collection by now. Congrats. Vern

Nice finds! I hope one day I'll have access to a site that has some CW relics lying around. Until then I guess I'll have to be happy someone else is finding them and posting them for all to see.
