Went out after work a couple days ago to a pounded small field in Winchester, VA and ended up finding a Spencer bullet and an Enfield bullet. On our way to leave I got 2 more good signals.. first was the scabbard tip and second was the Indian head. After a nice peroxide bath this morning I discovered something freaky...my name is Matthew Vaughn and engraved on the side are my initials...MV!!!! How cool is that? Thanks for looking!

Liberty looks very worn. Have you checked to see if has doubling?

I guess it was ment to be that is outstanding

Scouts out!

It was an awesome short hunt, can't wait to get back in there. That coin is very interesting, would be cool to find out who that person was. May have to ask the landowner if he may know some of the previous of owners of the property.

Yes, nice finds Matt........If you believe in reincarnation, maybe you are recovering items you lost/dropped in a previous life....who knows!!

Happy Hunting to ALL

Bill

Nice group of finds! I especially like to find items that are monogrammed like yours. What a coincidence that you have the same initials!

I wish my MD would find one for me...A scabbard tip or an IH.:angel3: Great find!:notworthy:

Way to go! That is awesome to find a coin that is etched!

great finds. I like wlb42's theory

looks like a nice enfield bullet as well!!

Thanks guys. hogge, where would I look for doubling at?

I didn't realize you were that old Matt-LOL. Great finds as usual & HH, Quindy.

I try to keep that on the hush hush, Quindy. lol HH

In the "Liberty" head band. It looks quite worn, but with a good loop you might be able to see if Liberty is doubled.
