This was found at a camp site that included a few buttons, tent rope adjusters and some lead camp art. Those pieces included an ID tag, a carved round ball as well as a chewed one, and some spillage from a bullet mold. My question though is about this artifact , one that I suspected to be a game piece although initially thought it to be a lead seal but it was void of numbers or letters. The knife marks on the reverse were not from me digging it, they were dull marks from long ago as was the cut down the middle. Has anyone dug similar pieces, perhaps poker chips, that used this similar stamping that obviously was made up of one or two different stamps, with a different arrangement on the surface. If it is not a camp game piece, then what was it used for? thanks for looking.....vn

Interesting piece to say the least. Really curious as to what the experts will say. Looks coined to me not hammered.
