CW knife????

Hi all,
Took a few hours after work to relice hunt and this is what I came up with. I did find this old pocket knife. Would anybody know what it may date from. Its about 4 inches with a single blade. The wood sides have long gone. I can't find any markings on it but of course that would make life easy. Just thought I would throw it out there. Thanks for looking.

Re: CW knife? think straight razor my self the "curved " ends tip it off

wider opening at one end narrower at the other --where the "blade part was ===side views would help alot if it is a razor---they normally had rounded ends --kind of narrow as the "blade" was thinner than a knife blade would be. straight razor was common back long ago --no "safety razors" back then---maybe why so many men wore beards. Yeah, The junk was above the knife. Only got a few 3 ringers that day.

I have seen a case full of about 60 of those knives that were found on battle sites. Looks the same to me.

Looks just like the one I found at Bermuda Hundred in Chester VA, except mine was in a few more pieces. Nice find.

I found part of one like that a week or so ago on a battlefield. I thought it was more modern so it went with the trash I picked up.

Civil war era pocket knifes are very common... found on battle fields all the time.

Yep trash. I had no clue. Wasn't much of one anyway, just enough that you could tell it was a pocket knife.

I have family over there. They are doing allot of building for new shcool there. Need to get over but havn't the chance.
