Found this today at a civil war skirmish site, dug around 6 inches. Appears to be brass. My first thought was a nose cap. After some cleaning and further research i am unsure. It appears to have a "Chevrolet" bowtie emblem. Also the inside has a slight groove. Ive dug many bullets all around this piece and today 14 more fired bullets.

Sorry but i have to agree, it is a bronze bushing, the the oil groove is the dead giveaway. Congrats on the bullets though.

Have to ask, bushing for what part of the car?
IMO I don't agree due to the size IMO
You say from a Chevy for sure - why?
What am I missing here?
this item is 3/4 round not half round as needed to make a bushing, not to mention its long

It has the Chevy logo, it is broken, that's why it's not round. It came from the starter or generator.
