I had a nice walk in the woods yesterday evening. First target was a screamer on the F75.

Turns out this is a cut Large Cent.

Whoever cut the coin started to quarter the coin, but didn't finish the cut.

Shortly after finding the large cent I started finding alot of modern trash. Mostly can tops. Walking along I got a good signal and figured it was trash and kicked the leaves back and out flies a 3 Ringer..!! Sitting right on top of the ground under the leaves for all these years.

Shortly after that good deep signal!

Another bullet! Then same area I dug an iron 4 holed button. Probably from an ole soldiers underwear or trousers. On the way back to the truck I dug a Buffalo Nickel ! All in all a nice afternoon hunt!

Ole Quindy is teaching me a thing or two about this stuff! Thanks ModernMiner. That cut coin surprised me!

Have any of you ever dug a Cut Large Cent before? This is my first one.
