Hello fellow hole diggers,

I'm interested seeing your custom made of modified treasure pouches. I need to get some ideas. I currently have a simple tool pouch which fits my tools but it isn't very tidy or efficient.

My tools:

-Lesche digger
-regular digger (I'll probably drop this item)
-brass probe
-dropcloth
-TinyTec pinpointer

I might make one from scratch using either leather or nylon. Some links of how to sew or rivet leather or nylon would help. Please give me suggestions or links to something that I might like.
Thank you all in advance.

GL & HH,

I found a small leather pouch at the flea market. I got it for 2 bucks. It's big enough to hold my gator digging tool and my probe. It has room for an additional item or 2. I haven't had a chance try it in the field yet. I looked at the same pouch you have at Lowes too big for me. Best of luck in your search.

i've got the whites pouch,i like it cause its nice and deep,(i get nervous about losing my pinpointer)the only thing i would add to your tools is a filet knife or something similar and yeah u could lose the reg digger

I use the KellyCo mesh pouch for the water. I have a Jimmy Sierra pouch for land...has a slot for the coin-popper and one for the probe. It has three item pouches, big, medium and small w/velcro for the goodies. It also had a holder for a digger, but I cut it off...it was imbalanced and did not work well. I use the holster for the Vibra-Probe and usually end up hunting with my digger in my hand, although it fits in the big pouch if necessary. I like the Sierra pouch because it's flat...it doesn't stick out at all, but still holds a lot of stuff. It can get bulged out by the end of a hunt, but even then it doesn't get in the way.

I also use a jimmy sierra pouch and it works great, one thing i would add to your equipment bag is an extra set of batteries for the detector and pinpointer. This can save you a looooong walk back to the car/ store when the time is better spent thing....learned this the hard way unfortunatly....LOL.... :D

Hi Dug,

You use the same pouch that I do. I really only made one minor adjustment to my pouch. I added a drawstring to the smaller pocket so my finds won't fall out when I move about. I carry my probe in one of the small thin pockets just above the hammer ring, and carry a small knife in the pocket adjacent to my probe. My digger rides in large trash pocket.
