Metal Detecting
Me and my wife were metal detecting today and found some cool stuff. We found 2 rocks which both pick up on my metal detector as non-ferrous but not sure exactly what they could be. The square one is weighs 1/2 pound and has a red tint to it, also it looks like there are several little rocks inside it. The long rock is very dense and heavy like a meteorite but not magnetic. It weighs around 1.6 pounds and has green in some spots and overall red tint. Can anyone give me any clues? Thanks in advance.

Frggr..my best guess is due to the iron content of both stones.
You can even see the rust in the 1st and 4th pics.

The flatter stone could also contain copper, as I see a green
patina in a few spots. :icon_thumright:

I might suggest you have a moderator move this to an appropriate
