Now that I've dug up just about every hard target in my yard, I've moved on to the deep, mixed signals-- it's exhausting!

Today I found, about 8" down, a very small piece of lead with a flat top, fluted base and a ring inside the cap. It's about the size of the tip of a pencil. I've find plenty of Civil War items in my yard, so I'm wondering if this is related or something to more modern times.

It's a lead pellet for an air powered gun. Looks like it's been shot at an angle into softish dirt or grassed area. Most likely a lawn.
