OK maybe not quite that incredible a day but is it me or does this thing have a face?
Turned it over and it looks to be of some age judging by those prongs that must have held it to leatherback or some other fiber. I found it not all that far from where I recently dug up a Medieval heraldic horse pendant and so I can't help think this could be something equestrian but I'm not at all sure of its age.

The upper head area has similar rays as one I recovered once.
I think the export papers stated Georgian.
