I first thought it might be a bird band, but, I don't see a seam anywhere. Maybe it's just a spacer of some sort. There are some strange symbols (Greek?) around the outside. Nothing on the inside. O.D. is approx. 5/8" and I.D. is 1/2". I don't know how to post these symbols, so, I'll just have to describe them as best as I can. There are two groups of 3 symbols with a dash in between the groups. No telling which group is first as everything is evenly spaced with the dashes. One group starts with an up side down V, followed by an X, then an A. The next group starts with an A, then a backwards 7 and then a triangle (delta?) Found at the beach if that helps any. Let the speculation begin! :laughing7:

I think what you have represents two different fraternities. It would be Lambda Chi Alpha and Alpha Gamma Delta.

I just looked up the second one and it is a woman's fraternity.

Actually, that looks like the symbols on that piece of metal they show on TV shows about the Roswell coverup. LOL

Wow, we've really narrowed this down! I'm glad I asked! :laughing7:

bird band
Usually, those are crimped on, correct? I see no seam at all. What would be the significance of the symbols around it if it's a bird band? The ones I've found in the past showed the agency involved and a serial number.

I want to say it's some sort of bead but the hole is too big. Would it be a neckerchief slide from a sorority, or maybe one of those string ties like the cowboy singers wear, are they called bolos?
