Curbside Treasures

Found these on side of road. looks like someone was cleaning out the contents of house.
They were kind enough to put some free stuff on the side of the road even though they could have thrown it in the dumpster.

Here is what is left. I already gave my mom and some baskets and a blanket. I also have a nice hand knitted blanket in the wash.

I do not know much about the pottery pieces or the teddy bear. The teddy bear looks might be hand made

There is a texasware bowl but that has discoloration ( I'll try bleaching it)

Cool finds! Take a closer look at that Chinese bowl though -- there may be money in it, since a red glaze is highly prized in the older pieces.

Remember -- recently there have been two Chinese bowls going for millions... Chinese bowl sells at Sotheby's for record $9.5 million - latimes.com and Bought for $3 at yard sale, bowl sells for $2.2 million - CNN.com

It could be an inexpensive tourist piece of course, but you just never know!

Nothing wrong with taking the blanket. As long as you didn't go home and curl up under it, lol. What if it had been a quilt or Hudson's Bay blanket? I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem snatching that up. No difference, a textile is a textile. They can be washed/sanitized.

If you can clean up that lamp, it will sell okay. It's a Danish style with that added wood element on it. Mid century looks like. Probably get $30 or so I would think.

I like the baskets. Good stuff for free.
