Cups from taiwan that read PLATT TAIWAN on the bottom....

I got these from my grandfather in law. He told me he had these for years, not sure how long though.
He was going to sell them at a yard sell about 6 years back for 25$ but I talked him into giving me the set instead.
I can't tell if they are real platinum or not, though they do read PLATT on the bottom with 2 t's.
If anyone knows the worth of these or can tell me if they are in fact a genuine platinum set please let me know because I'm clueless lol >.<

if these were platinum these would feel very heavy. as far as the stamp "PLATT" that looks more like a makers stamp.
