In the old days your finer shirts and jackets came without buttons giving you options of so many different kinds of shirt buttons, collar studs and cufflinks. You can only imagine how many of those accessories had fallen off and were lost. They were made of less expensive plated metals set with faux jewels to more expensive ones made in silver, gold and platinum and set with diamonds and other gem stones. I would think old churches and parks where many picnics were held years ago would have good odds of finding these type of items.
